  6. The kinks being worked on have to do with ogg fie extensions and mine type detection (remote vs. local). I'll write up a post on that.
  7. so yes, i dig MAF - http://maf.mozdev.org/installation.html - and plan on using the format extensively. Try it out!
  8. bands could release a new track or album, put it out on p2p networks as a .maff and wrap context like lyrics, photos, links, ads etc.
  9. you can make media, wrapped in a stylish html5 page with interactive elements, distribute via RSS in the enclosure element for aggregators.
  10. technically, open source games can be created using html5 and saved as a .maff file, play the game in firefox whenever you want (offline).
  11. but it's also generally useful for (p2p) sharing/distribution/collaboration of content, media assets and interactive experiences.
  12. the usefulness of a single file archive that contains rich media like video and audio becomes most apparent when you want offline viewing.
