  1. @BretMattingly http://bit.ly/g6bxq is a strength site. They host twitterchats on Wednesday . To contribute you need to use that tag #sbgym
  2. Found my hammer.
  3. #sbgym yeah everyday should be. Hard mental barrier to get into for me, not training everyday has been the way for so long
  4. @TrainBetterFit I just picked up all of Ross's books. My stff is a little difrnt, but I hope to be able to pull some in. #sbgym
  5. #sbgym I try to get to practice once a week. And I try to make it worthwhile. I should do skill work on days I am not sparring.
  6. #sbgym Combat bows are pretty rare, and are low poundage, but target ones are good, just can't shoot at people.
  7. #sbgym Pretty much all I personally use. Others use great swords, pole weapons, daggers, etc. Also war scenarios have archery
  8. #sbgym some footwork as well. When I got into this I was in an isolated community and I was fat. There was no method.
  9. #sbgym Our primary skill training is sword work, fast and slow against a stationary pole. Apart from sparring anyhow.
  10. #sbgym I train either way, but there are times I look to add things to improve my ability. I really suspect more skill work is needed thoug
  11. #sbgym http://bit.ly/4XSTjZ combat starts at 40seconds. This is not me
  12. #sbgym hard to describe exactly. We fight with rattan, and they are plenty hard enough to bruise and crack ribs if your armor sucks.
  13. #sbgym we are taught a killing blow when we start, it is all on the honor system, self policed essentially. It is not a light game though.
  14. #sbgym but our rules (medieval combat) are essentially a blow landed hard enough ends the fight. No multiple rounds.
  15. #sbgym quite different. I think it is more skill based. Some strength needs to be there. There are times conditioning is as well...
  16. #sbgym dinner and keyboards mix fine. Just a time intensive meal. Have we only talked about MMA type combat sports?
  17. #sbgym looks like a good thread, I'll have to come back and read it. No time to hang out and chat. Dinner on the go!
  18. Experiment: Work coffee date. Usually have light breakfast before the small eggnog latte. Today, skipping breakfast.
  19. Can't find ball pein hammer. Not good.
  20. Average calorie intake for the last couple months : 2300
