I try to get to practice once a week. And I try to make it worthwhile. I should do skill work on days I am not sparring.

Combat bows are pretty rare, and are low poundage, but target ones are good, just can't shoot at people.

Pretty much all I personally use. Others use great swords, pole weapons, daggers, etc. Also war scenarios have archery

Our primary skill training is sword work, fast and slow against a stationary pole. Apart from sparring anyhow.

hard to describe exactly. We fight with rattan, and they are plenty hard enough to bruise and crack ribs if your armor sucks.

we are taught a killing blow when we start, it is all on the honor system, self policed essentially. It is not a light game though.

but our rules (medieval combat) are essentially a blow landed hard enough ends the fight. No multiple rounds.
