  10. Takeaway message: one of robotics' main next steps is enabling reproducible results that will eventually lead to "out of the box" solutions.
  11. We also had a very interesting session about the convergence of academic, amateur, and commercial robotics.
  12. The robot exhibition was also quite incredible. I was amazed how much the AI and engineering of robotics has advanced, esp the UMass uBot.
  13. The event went really well. Great well-attended robt workshop with speakers from DARPA, MSR, RobotCub, Meka, Barrett, Willow Garage, iRobot.

  15. Had a busy R:SS in Seattle. Participated in 3 workshops as well as catching up with many friends across the robotics community.

  19. Having a busy summer. Started with attending German-American Kavli Frontiers of Science meeting in early June. Amazing talks across science.
