  5. To charge $3.50 for a water bottle or not to charge. They say academic politics is so small because the stakes are so low.
  6. Fisher says he would not buy a water bottle but would take and use a free one. He says he's for it; that's enough for Weintraub.
  7. Fisher brings out the hold-it-in-your-hand argument. Most students don't get anything out of i-fee, he says, a water bottle is tangible.
  8. @AnAmElie87 Yes, the special request is from Campus Recycling. They want to purchase 600 water bottles at $3.50 each to give away at events.
  9. Sen. Tipitino doesn't want to buy other people watter bottles.

  12. McCafferty says it was good for NALSA to pledge to repay funds "but don't allocate money based on good faith."
  13. Griffin: Wouldn't you not be willing to spend $100 each for this? Presenter: I wouldn't have $100 to spend.
  14. Presenter makes the point that they are aspiring public interest attys who need grants to work unpaid summer internships.
  15. Fisher makes the argument that this is for grad students who hardly ever benefit from the i-fee but pay it in full.
  16. Barkley says reducing the amunt by $10 or even $1 "would make a moral statement."
  17. Tipitino wants to fund half of the cost.
  18. Demic: "What I would say is I don't believe altruism exists."
  19. Tipitino is speaking against the request directly to Weintraub.
  20. Weintraub says this is different from other conferences because these students ARE the Native American law department.
