  6. DVX Release party at Mumm and Bucephalus Release Party at Black Stallion. Life is good in Napa!
  7. @ruhlman Use food processor w/knife blade and standing mixer daily. Immersion blender often. Lovely Vita-Mix--almost never, except soups.

  10. @ruhlman Maybe picked too early=no flavor. Our Napa olives won't be ready 'til Nov/Dec. Water cure works well. Time-consuming but tasty.
  11. @ruhlman We cure our olives with water - 22 days - as I fear using lye. They're wonderful! CA Olives aren't ripe yet. What are you curing?
  12. @Herbguy See Dagoba Chocolate while you're in S. Oregon. Bot by Hershey's, but so far still excellent single source choc blocks.
  13. @ruhlman. Your late season roasted corn saved the day! FABU when all other vegies at the market were tired.
  14. @dudalicioustoo Your Work = raw fish cooked with acidic splash?
  15. @ruhlmann. Your late season roasted corn saved the day! FABU when all other vegies at the market were tired.
  16. Found where the fishermen land in Bradenton, FL. Hog Snapper -- a first for me --tender and sweet as your first kiss.
  17. @PowerofNo re Ritz @ Half Moon Bay. No longer new, but lovely location.Oddly, they won't guarantee oceanfront or fireplace room on reserving.
  18. Anybody have suggestions for great food/ingredients/restaurants in Sarasota, FL?
  19. Foiled in my greatest hope for Sarasota local ingredients -- Stone Crab Season doesn't start for two more weeks.
  20. @coalvin Napa Whine: I miss my CA garden and fruit trees! Found some local greens and aged citrus. Does FL ship out all of its produce?
