  1. @spanishmanners - We'd decided on a set trend/call system before we began. I'll publish the system on the Wordpress blog tomorrow. :)
  2. @vanillagorilla For those that want more info on the experiment: http://mpurse.wordpress.com - #nzelection
  3. This is b part two of an experiment in rebroadcasting information in a valuable way, specifically political news, and remaining unbiased.
  4. @vanillagorilla the cool part is that we're actually in Australia. We did a similar experiment for the US election.
  5. Thanks for being a part of our live reporting experiment.
  6. I'll wrap this up now since the result is very clear bar any concession/victory speeches which I can't do justice to here anyhow.
  7. Thanks for following the #nzelection coverage here. For reference, I'm @mpurse (with help from two friends on our kitchen table with lappys)
  8. @cre8d They wont realise those figures fully until late tonight/early tomorrow, but it's expected to be record turnout. #nzelection
  9. I'm not sure there's a lot else to report for the #nzelection unless we get some concession or victory speeches from Clark or Key soon.
  10. Labour might get one more seat back if they're lucky, but that's a wrap. National's win #nzelection - John Key to become Prime Minister.
  11. Still trying to be cautious with the #nzelection. Labour suprprised us last time with their late rally, and they're now shortening the gap.
  12. John Key's National Party is likely to be able to form government with ACT. John Key to likely to suceed Helen Clark as PM. #nzelection
  13. Though this may seem redundant: We project the seat of Mt Albert will be retained by current PM Helen Clark (LAB) #nzelection
  14. The nights first final result just came in for the seat of Nelson (NAT). #nzelection
  15. @agentK It's possible they'll rally late like last time, but they're going to have a hard time forming government. #nzelection
  16. @felicityweller seems to think at this point National-ACT should be able to form government. We're getting to the point of starting to agree
  17. National's down another point to 46% with 65% counted. #nzelection
  18. With more than 52% of the vote counted at this point, National's slip back to 47%, Labour up to 33%. #nzelection
  19. We project no party will receive sufficient seats to govern on their own. #nzelection
  20. We're not willing to make an overall projection on this #nzelection just yet. Labour came from behind late to make up ground last time.
