  1. Bridgeport also lost shootout 3-2, Martin goal: http://bit.ly/1TnlHg
  2. AP summary of Panthers win: http://bit.ly/2FCi1j
  3. High marks to Hillen, Sutton again excellent. Roloson needed to stop first goal but played well. Good enough for 3 in 4 days on road.
  4. All in all feels like they won but they did blow lead and lost skills competition. Not sure why Sim over Tambellini anymore. Bailey solid.
  5. Comeau drew one powerplay, Bergenheim the other to key comeback. Tavares, Okposo and Nielsen money on pp. Very fast, physical game at end.
  6. Park-Jackman-Thompson had some excellent shifts beyond goal. Park looked like Gretzky in ot and made nice feed to Thompson. Jackman nice g.
  7. Bergenheim had entire side and hit Vokoun's pad or it's 3-0. Isles killed 5/3 all momentum and then stopped skating, winning faceoffs.
  8. Wild game, Isles did more in first ten minutes 5-5 than they did in Carolina entire game and seemed poised to blow Panthers out early.
  9. Florida 5, New York 4 shootout: Mixed thoughts but thrilled they showed that kind of resiliency that is a great sign.
  10. Tonight not going to be easy on veteran defenders. My guess is same lineup or Schremp/Bailey/Tambellini/Comeau switch but who knows?
  11. Tonight vs Florida interesting, perhaps lineup best determined on who trends worst w/three in four. Tambellini/Bailey are skill needed here.
  12. Miami Herald George Richard's preview of Florida Panthers/Vokoun dominating: http://www.miamiherald.com/...
  13. Eric Hornick's outstanding statistical information has been added to our twitter media box. Eliminted NHL live because many do not have XM.
  14. For a team that has lived at 29/30th in goals scored for a few years Isles are in the middle in goals scored, some teams w/games in hand.
  15. True. 79-80 was a tough season b4 Goring trade with Potvin injury/Morrow coming to NHL. Thinking of 15g win streak with blowout wins.
  16. New York seventh in the East, played 2/top/3 in East 3 of 4 already (Buffalo/Wash) and next five games against teams below them in standings
  17. Remember 07-08 season? Isles had eleven first period goals all season into early December, 2goals or less/14 straight but were in top eight.
  18. Hard to believe the 2009-10 New York Islanders three first period goals three games in a row is something the dynasty teams never did.
  19. Bridgeport blows 2-0 lead and wins 3-2 at Springfield in OT Friday: Bentivoglio two goals GWG, DiBenedetto goal. Munroe 21 saves.
