  1. Geocities going down today. http://tiny.cc/6o36b. So long, and thanks for all the fish! You had two of my sites. They sucked. Not your fault
  2. @TorieA The combat is really entertaining in a hack-n-slash kind of way. Feels a little more like combat in LOTR than in Dynasty Warriors.
  3. The only thing better than Brutal Legend is its own soundtrack. I've actually put down my controller once or twice and just rocked out.
  4. @TorieA It's definitely part of it, but things are much, much wider than they appear in the demo.
  5. @bigscary It *is* sensible, but a little late. Besides, Brutal Legend presents a much classier X-promo opp than Miley Cyrus' next game.
  6. @bigscary Considering how *all* the entities involved have milked their cash cow previously, the timing for petulance is extremely poor.
  7. @bigscary I'm sure, but EA of all companies should know how to cross-promote. Positive they have a whole department for this, in fact.
  8. EA really, really should have promoted Brutal Legends giving away associated Rock Band tracks with pre-orders.
  9. @AtALossNYC Almost never had a problem with mine. For the apps, chances are it was a bug by the app-makers. Not taking calls is weird
  10. I will admit to bias, but at least stylistically, BrĂ¼tal Legend is the greatest video game ever.
  11. Shameless self-plug. New article up. RT @tordotcom Steampunk Gaming: Getting in the Mood http://short.to/szf3
  12. @TorieA There's some pretty serious nerd-rage in the comments over there. SFWire made a good call to spike their pageviews. :P
  13. @ecmyers Quick! Throw water on them, then electrocute them with their implausibly-gengineered brethen!
  14. @bigscary #gyromancer has me more psyched than any actual upcoming Final Fantasy game. Too bad it's not coming out for DS/PSP/iPhone (yet).
  15. Skynet is here! Hide your Jesus-analogues and Christian Bale's angry facial expressions! http://bit.ly/qKPDb
  16. #nygames Sebastien de Halleux of Playfish: we are not selling products, we are selling services [when we sell social network games]
  17. #nygames Sanjay Sarathy: the industry will merge with the existing entertainment industry until the distinctions in products break down
  18. @sarvenna Verizon is heading in this direction, more than any US carrier, but they're actually heading back into the phone-centric model
  19. @sarvenna Apple's model is still completely iPhone-centric, with the network apps as a value-add. In Japan, the network is now the product
  20. #nygames Turbine used their free2play model for D&D Online to successfully drive conversions to their subscription model for the same game
