  1. @jbarker7 Glad to hear it! :)
  2. How do you misspell "the" four times in the same email?
  3. @ignu I don't think it's marketing, I think they want to make sure the product doesn't suck when it goes big. Right now it's kind of meh.
  4. The most common cash-for-clunkers swap? An old F150 for a new F150. http://bit.ly/2o8dKx (via @nikibeth)
  5. r @arcware I'd try to show up with short arms to mock you, but I can't afford to cut them off to the elbows
  6. @scottcreynolds You can't use a peanut. Peanuts go rogue.
  7. @scottcreynolds "Build something great" is not contextual. Isn't that what the point of all this is? To write great software?
  8. @RossCode I really, really, really hope not.
  9. (By the way, while I'm having this meta-argument on Twitter, I really AM working. I swear. :)
  10. @scottcreynolds All the more reason to consider individual context in the argument and avoid blanket statements.
  11. @danlash Sure, but it's never really a discussion because it lacks context. It's never "I do this because X", it's "you MUST do X!"
  12. @scottcreynolds I've been around the block. Consultant, employee of a product company, owner of a product company.
  13. I will make this appeal again: facta, non verba. (Actions, not words.) Stop arguing and get back to work, and build something great.
  14. For example, I don't like TDD. Maybe because I use static languages. But do I want to get others to stop using it? I couldn't care less.
  15. r @JustinEtheredge I'm not advocating writing shitty code. I'm just saying that what works for one person or team is not a blanket solution.
  16. I'm happy to share my ideas, but I'm not here to proselytize. Make your own damn decisions.
  17. All I ask is people recognize that there are a lot of ways to crack a nut, and if you don't do X or Y you're not AN OMG IDIOT WTF
  18. @scottcreynolds I don't care what your code looks like. I just help you stay organized while you write it.
  19. You know how much more time I've had since I stopped arguing about best practices? Enough to write a pretty snazzy product. Try it yourself.
  20. You know what I just realized? I don't really care how you write software.
