  1. Nov. 9th: the Journal of the Canadian Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry published a favourable review of "Nix" is this month's issue.
  2. Nov 6th: my article introducing the treatment found in "Nix" is now published in the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada's newsmagazine.
  3. Sept. 24th: I've recently learned that one young reader did a book report on "Nix" for a school project - here's hoping he got an "A+" :)
  4. Sept. 22nd: 'Nix' was a "huge hit" with a reader's son: "down to earth", "tell-it-like-it-is", "not too academic and not dummied down".
  5. Sept. 17th: Parents of a newly diagnosed child told me reading 'Nix' had them "giggling together" and feeling less scared about it all. Cool
  6. Sept. 12th: an adult reader emailed and said 'Nix' was, "so perfectly written and is VERY funny...A job well done!!!". Nice to hear, thanks.
  7. August 18th: Parentbooks in Toronto Ontario has made an inquiry about carrying "Nix" on their reputable shelves!
  8. July 11th: "Nix" is reviewed in the Summer 2009 issue of "Inside TS" - the official newletter of the Tourette Syndrome Association!
  9. May 6th: Caversham Booksellers in Toronto Ontario now carries "Nix Your Tics!"
  10. April 8th: Caversham in Toronto, ON has shown an interest in selling "Nix" - probably Canada's most reputable mental health bookstore!
  11. April 6th: lots of hits to the website today - have learned my documentary, "Life's A Twitch!" aired on TVO again last night.
  12. April 1st: province-wide training for clinicians in the tic management methods contained within "Nix" is planned for May in London ON!
  13. Feb. 26th: The Tourette Syndrome Association (TSA) has asked to review, "Nix" in their upcoming newsletter - a copy was sent this week!
  14. Feb 9th: Copies of "Nix" arrived in the clinic library where I work...and have promptly been signed out :) Distributor says sales are up...
  15. Jan 20: Received very nice feedback on the book from Australia! Mother says her son no longer feels so 'strange' and is sharing more now! :)
  16. December 19: journal article submitted, book written & published, and many families served in 2008. Time for a much-need break. Back in '09!
  17. December 18: journal article finished!!! One last look tomorrow and I'll submit it. Woo-hoo :)
  18. December 17: polished and 'tightened' the journal article today - just need to add references now and it can be sent off!
  19. December 16: first draft of journal article complete!
  20. December 15: almost finished 'fleshing out' journal article on the experience of having TS and using tic management; a long day of writing!
