  1. Thank you to @nerdseyeview for a good round-up and sensible perspective on #followmeatsea debate. http://bit.ly/1Iqvv2 #travel
  2. .@whereivebeen That's because the Aussie dollar is on a rampage - it's better value for Australians to travel abroad than it usually is.
  3. @travelojos I know budgets are tight and wire copy is an easy way to fill pages but the buck stops with the editor of the publication.
  4. Hilary Bradt of @BradtGuides received the British Guild of Travel Writers "Lifetime Achievement Award" last night. #travel
  5. @travelojos Shouldn't USA Today editor take responsibility for what they run? AP might write the story but the editor has a role too.
  6. Stone-Age Orkney series was for @travelrants who said he was "more Captain Caveman than Star Wars". Now it's Jedi time! http://su.pr/5GgcUr
  7. New on Roaming Tales: Star Wars in Tunisia: Jedi cloaks http://su.pr/5GgcUr #travel #lp #starwars
  8. @annikahipple Maybe the sender deleted the tweet?
  9. Wow! It's been 20 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall. An historic event that I actually remember! http://bit.ly/2xyYfb
  10. @tomh You realise along with tabloid papers and FOX News, Murdoch news also includes Wall Street Journal, The Times (UK) and The Australian?
  11. @ecosalon Longer answer involves a few time-saving systems that I've developed over years of line-drying washing. I'm happy to share. :-)
  12. @ecosalon The short answer is I hang them out and wait for them to dry. The colder it is, the longer it takes. But it doesn't take forever.
  13. I bought a beautiful pair of vintage Italian leather shoes today - Ferragamo from the 60s or 70s. Black with low heel and pointy toe.
  14. @lyndenbarber Contrary to reputation there are actually some decent American and Canadian beers - there are lots of micro-breweries around.
  15. @lyndenbarber It's been a few years since I lived in Oz but I was always rather fond of James Squire amber ale.
  16. @lyndenbarber It's warm lager that you really have to worry about. It does happen!
  17. @lyndenbarber UK ales are not meant to be cold but also not meant to be warm. They should be cellar temperature - chillier than room temp.
  18. Just spoken to my father after his hip replacement operation earlier today. He's awake and in good spirits - so far, so good! I'm relieved.
  19. @rochoy I don't know about the best place, but I've seen people fly kites on both Baker Beach and Ocean Beach.
  20. @soultravelers3 So I'd heard and I agree it's wrong to ban outside drying but it's easy to do it inside anyway.
