  1. Kids send birthday cards to US soldier in Afghanistan: "P.S. keep ond Bloinum up! Äpicture of machine gunÑ" and "I hope you don't die."
  2. Brought my grandmother and aunt as guests to an end of the year banquet for referees. A night filled with good food and conversation.
  3. If you open the door at just the right moment, my microwave's timer will mysteriously stop between 0 seconds and beeping.
  4. Auto makers, please make better turn signals. The strobe light-like indicating by the car in front of me is inducing an epileptic seizure.
  5. Oh, just saying hello to Lord Stanley's Cup. A typical Thursday evening.
  6. Combatting contact form bot spam. It's difficult to understand why anyone would waste their time nonsensically vandalizing the Internet.
  7. My shoes have sweat stains. This could be filed under the gross category, but I like to think that they add to the character of the shoe.
  8. Retrospectively, I've been using illness as an excuse for laziness. Recuperation is one thing. Sloth is another. Here's to productivity.
  9. Filling-out proxy ballots before bed, being a responsible share holder. Almost as good as a bedtime story.
  10. Fall's getting bullied, Winter's stealing the limelight, and my cold, sick, sleep-deprived body is unhappy.
  11. My dad on the winning 50-50 raffle ticket number: "258!? That's like two Jack Lamberts!" #stuffmydadsays
  12. Enduring cold rain, watching my brother play soccer. Previously: learned that computer-generated directions should not be trusted blindly.
  13. A warmer coat will soon be needed. #fall
  14. Soaking in sun and scenic views of Pittsburgh, walking along the Allegheny River to Heinz Field. The fountain at the Point is dyed pink.
  15. Realizing that the title 300 could also be used for a bowling movie. A movie with fewer ripped warrior men, but still.
  16. Ate family-sized portions of Italian food at Buca di Beppo's restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. Full.
  17. Played post-church football with friends. My open field tackling could use some work, and my left shoulder some massaging.
  18. My brother's alarm clock sounds like a sound effect from Scooby-Doo, and it's, like, totally freakin' me out, man.
  19. "I feel like someone cut off my fingers and chained me to a rock." -- Co-worker on using C++ after a long stint with Java
  20. Spent the day with Junior Highers, learning about being spiritually dead but alive in Christ (Ephesians 3). Also, played games in the rain.
