  1. Reading the quick critiques of Avatar from climate change deniers, I am really intrigued to see the new flick.
  2. Growing weary of holiday shopping...especially because my buy-fors are all done.
  3. Time to start pulling off a study of mechanics of family involvement w/ nature. What do you think are the important aspects to study?
  4. Down to cities and back today for final class meeting. Reporting preliminary results of an evaluation of our Presenter Handbook.
  5. First overnight w/ the twins sans mom. Logistics are all in order. Now just crossing fingers for good luck & tempers.
  6. Evaluating how to improve a new handbook for planning/delivering interpretive presentations. Happy to have the 1st draft report done. #ln
  7. Nice afternoon hike at Hartley. Evan and I climbed the rock knob, and explored the park highlands. Much better than shopping.
  8. Dinosaur Train this morning. Now Evan wants to dig for fossils at the Park Point beach this afternoon.
  9. H1-N1 vaccinated. Thanks to SMDC for a quick process.
  10. Down & back from St. Paul today for class. Beautiful, mild & clear morning for a drive. Probably even better in a tree stand for opener.
  11. To & from Cities for meetings today. Now off to Holloween party w/ Ev (aka Spiderman) & some datcare friends. Then a party a our neighbor's.
  12. With a quick and efficient vote to adopt bylaws a few moments ago, our first MN Master Naturalist Chapter came into "official" existence.
  13. Fall color in full flame in Cloquet area. The tamarack are rich gold. Leaves are tumbling constantly. Soon our world will be leafless.
  14. Made it. Two infants & 3-year old, a pile of luggage, Becky & me flew x-country to OR and back. Smooth. But wouldn't recommend it.
  15. Homeward bound. Headed to the airport for an early flight home. With all the kids and junk in tow, we travel like a gypsy caravan.
  16. @omsi Rains today. Science museum wins over the zoo. We are enjoying the science playground & looking forward to the sub tour.
  17. Slowly closing down the Portland trip. Off to brother's Ned Ludd restaurant for dinner tonight. Then OMSI or zoo tomorrow.
