  3. MA Board of Lib. Commissioners meeting 10/1/09 about proposed elimination of lib. regions. Sargent Memorial Library, Boxborough. Noon.
  4. The Mass. Board of Library Commissioners wants to eliminate the regional library system (NMRLS included) next fiscal year. Huh??
  5. Meeting at NMRLS this afternoon to talk about FY11. Things don't look good.

  8. more people need to discover our NetLibrary ebooks. great titles...we need to make them more visible so that they get used more.
  9. Everyone is confused about the new proxy server authentication. Meanwhile, the email tsunami has begun.
  10. Library proxy server authentication hasn't changed yet - was supposed to switch over to VPN/network authentication 50 minutes ago.
  11. Proxy server login changing to network/VPN login. IT is working on issues related to this change.
  12. on vacation at home...should have gone someplace. difficult for me to relax.
  13. friend of mine moved, tried to change health insurance, denied coverage due to minor pre-existing condition. no health insurance. yikes.
  14. thinking about mobile devices and libraries.
  15. eating a muffin, updating web pages, ordering trials, listening to Beck, reading tech blogs and copyright guides, thinking of the beach.
  16. here's hoping for a minimal amount of working this weekend.
  17. service to patrons during possible H1N1 outbreak? if college is closed, if family is ill, would I be database troubleshooting?
