Showed up all ready for our flight - and the plane was gone. Seems it is out for maintenance and that fact was inconveniently not recorded

And as ithappens, N206JK is the plane I will be doing it in.

The November Sarex is going to be reduced to a table top exercise due to the fact we can't even fly the plane at our own expense.

Group 4 sounded great on HF tonight - must have been just the right skip.

Evening HF net is barely audible and mostly unreadable. We need to get ALE equipment deployed - several of the ALE freq are fine right now.

I can receive the HF net at my home but not the VHF net due to the mountain range. Unfortunately the HF voice net is sparcely populated.

Found a source for fully compliant CAP radios for about $60. Uglyheavy and clunky, but reliable. Works for me.

Ran the radio nets alone tonight - unable to reach Y182 by radio or phone - hope things are ok...
