  1. @zackmann Why don't you like DRM? Don't you think artists should get paid for their work?
  2. @elanaroth YESSSSS!!!! and see, now I want to know more.
  3. All I'm saying is Victory belongs to those who find new ways to fight
  4. And you know how the editor found me? Through my Parsec-winning book "Number One with a Bullet" self-published on Amazon.
  5. I've been working directly with editor at a major pub house creating a new franchise and I did it all on my own. Agent had zero to do w/ it
  6. @TeeMonster That's right, dammit!
  7. But can you imagine a digital Speak and Spell tablet for kids that also hosts animated/interactive ebooks with an emphasis on learning?
  8. @TeeMonster @cc_chapman No kidding. Easier said than done.
  9. Can I tell you that it makes me absolutely bonkers that my lit agent continues to refuse to embrace the importance of the digital realm?
  10. @remdotco I'm talking about devices and interactive content specifically created for kids ... the evolutionary extension of the Leap Frog.
  11. @elanaroth and that's the kind of forward thinking idea you should champion because if you don't someone else will eventually.
  12. @elanaroth There used to be a bunch of shops like that in Times Square if memory serves correctly.
  13. Hey @DrBobParsons. How badly does Crazy Domains owe Go Daddy a royalty for this commercial? http://bit.ly/7sojUY
  14. In future I see kid-centric ebook readers w/ high quality color screens where you can touch a word or sentence and have it read back to you
  15. Though can you imagine how excited kids could get over an interactive version of Goodnight Moon or Cat in the Hat (on a color device)?
  16. @LiquidSnake13 thank you
  17. @elanaroth I have to think children's books will be one of the last genres to give up paper. I'd hate to imagine no analog kids books
  18. @zackmann Good question but aren't you just a little bit appalled at all the healthy trees cut down to make those fucking Twiilight books?
  19. @elanaroth That's exactly what the music industry said about CD's 10 years ago though. Putting too much importance on the media itself.
  20. @elanaroth Agreed. As soon as e-reader is a fashion accessory which their idols will be seen with, teens will flock.
