  4. Have football game playing on one computer and working on business plan on the other one. Love technology and football.
  5. Working with students to get them to understand why I do not give multiple choice tests.
  6. Gave my first exam of the semester. Another one tomorrow in Sports Sponsorship & Sales. Will soon see if the information is getting through.
  7. Taking my 3 yr old nephews to local amusement park w/ my mom. Pls let them be tired by 3pm so I can get home to watch Gator game by 3:30!
  8. Some great ideas generated in sports marketing today of big and small ways UC can market its varsity sports. Good brainstorming from groups.
  9. Had a fun time with the university-organized book signing today. Granted, the book I wrote is "only a textbook" (as I was told by my boss).

  12. Discussed broadcast rights and fees today in Sports Information/Media class. Fun and interesting topic.
  13. Trying to be better about getting assignments graded in a timely manner. Doing much better so far.
  14. Trying to stay focused on classes during the day and work on Coaching Tutor during the evenings and weekends.
  15. The draft and draft board for topic selection were a hit in Sports Marketing class. Now taking it to Sports Media class.
  16. I really like Tim Lynde's book Sponsorships 101. Used it last yr and this yr in class. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to work in sports.
  17. Before I started teaching, the word "rubric" wasn't even in my vocab. Now I'm writing rubrics for my class assignments. Continuous learning.
  18. I've often said I have the attention span of a 3 year old, which probably explains why I get along so well with my 3 year old twin nephews.
  19. Asked friends in sponsorship biz what students should know by end of class on the subj. Thankfully it's been similar to what I had planned.
  20. Coming up with some pretty good assignments for students in my fall classes. They're challenging, but real-world sports projects.
