  1. Windows XP makes me yearn for my Openbox setup. At least Firefox is on it now. #grandpa #firefox
  2. A website that was key to my figuring out how to forward X11 programs through SSH: http://tinyurl.com/2clvgx
  3. Building Gnustep apps in Arch. *sigh* Debian might be slower and older, but it does make trying new programs much easier, I'll give it that.
  4. Swapped Delli's hard drive into the Thinkpad, finally got the sound working. *sigh* almost ten years, and still problematic.
  5. @TimCAD Definitely no handle -- works better with cupholders. ^_^
  6. Overwrote the iPod Apple firmware with a new bootloader, put Rockbox back on. Still get Apple logo on startup... #iLoader #rockbox #foss
  7. Copied a bunch of songs directly to my Rockbox-treated iPod nano, now won't boot. :? "Use iTunes to restore," it says. #ipodrockbox #noboot
  8. Ok, forgeting about how CSS-style-friendly the blog theme is. If someone wants to redo it, they can do it. #excessblogstyling #realism
  9. I have no clue why udev insists on loading the USB 2 driver on a machine that only has USB 1.1 #udev #archlinuxinstall
  10. Adjusting blog theme again, isn't as userstyle-friendly as I'd like.
  11. Hmph, no fullscreen Flash with JWM unless I make the browser fullscreen first #jwm
  12. I'm officially switching from Openbox to JWM -- lightweight AND has icon support. Menu generation is a pain though...
  13. Looks like a negative z-index disables hyperlinks, at least in a userstyle. #CSS #accidentaldiscoveries #userstyles
  14. I did not steal your seat, it buttnapped me!
  15. Need to track down an AC adaptor for the Compaq SLT/286 we found at work today. It cost over US$5,000 when it was new! #ancientlaptop
  16. Apparently, it's more my lack of skill and less Scroogle.org's design. Thanks to Firebug for helping me figure it out. #CSS #Scroogle.org
  17. Hmm...either Scroogle.org isn' t very CSS friendly, or I'm really not understanding the padding and margin functions...
  18. Trying to learn some CSS. First target: make Scroogle.org look good.
  19. Accidental discovery: GTK+ themes can have a separate color for menubars. Combine w/rearranging Firefox toolbars, psuedo-Persona!!
  20. http://tinyurl.com/2tfwpm for a list of light Firefox addons. It's from September '07, but I use several on the list which still exist.
