  1. Green rain today as my son says. Going to get bikes and go to playhouse. No cars on langeoog. Very refreshing.
  2. At Fisch-Klette in the biergarten. Beautiful evening with friends. Hope it is as nice tommorrow.
  3. @senser that's true but Germany is certainly ahead of US at least generally. There are cities in US that are doing well, but could do better
  4. Germany is very environmentally oriented. Not just speak but action. No grocery bags; you bring your own. No ATM receipts. Walking / bikes.
  5. Enjoying a nice cappacino and roll for breakfast. Trying to get caught up on my travel log. Only on day 2. Might need less details.
  6. @keithbrooks wow that's just awful. Glad you at least tried to help.
  7. Wow Langeoog is beautiful. Going to go and get a bite to eat. Don't worry it won't be Hawaiian.
  8. GPS has been invaluable but also screwy at times. In Trier it had us driving on a sidewalk with the locals shouting at us. It was a one way.
  9. Drove all day but finally getting to the fairy for langaoon. Had great pizzen wit ananas und schinken.
  10. I'll never get used to ham and cheese sandwhiches for breakfast. It's good just not what I'm used to for breakfast.
  11. Breakfast then heading out. Going to skip dusseldorf because we want to get to the island on the North Sea by afternoon.
  12. @varikin according to wiki travel it is. It's a great place.
  13. @varikin I suppose you'd have to ask the Germans. I'm having fun. Germans are incredibly hospitable.
  14. @mitsuhiko just contents on plate. It was called gyro but I guess that's diff from what I'm used to.
  15. Meals are always fun in Germany. Yesterday I apparently ordered a fish head and tonight a gyro without the pita. It was good though.
  16. Apparently cologne is the gay capital of Germany.
  17. @lukeman haha that's wunderbar
  18. Just got some good German beer and wine. I know it's good because I can't pronounce it. I did learn dunkel though.
  19. the Dom in Cologne is amazing. View from outside. http://twitpic.com/9s3jp
  20. @brxs we are actually midway between cologne and dusseldorf about 2 blocks from the river.
