  1. The mysteries of the Masters in Comp Sci: How are you a master if you don't know how to implement a hash table?!?!?!
  2. 79:31. Quite good for me, maybe in 5 years I'll hit the average for my age group :)
  3. (hopefully I'll survive at least until the NY coherence sig though)
  4. Going on first 8 mile speed run in prep for half marathon. If'n you hear no more tweets from me, you'll know why...
  5. Tubing the Esopus is freaking awesome. But no where near as dirty as it sounds, alas.

  7. Snow leopard definitely = Zoom Zoom
  8. Snow leopard install problems, installer not playing nice with Bamboo tablet. Unplug Bamboo and voila - trouble free install
  9. Behold the mighty fisherman and his catch http://bit.ly/1bC09d
  10. Happy Halloween! At least according to the local Rite Aide. I expect the Xmas decorations to arrive any minute now...

  14. @cbeust A secondary problem with Scala is an over-reliance on functional jargon. Like Unit. Makes it a tough sell for many developers.
  15. Harumph. Night photography is harder than it looks, tripod or no.
  16. http://twitpic.com/cjcdu - The newest addition to the family...
  17. Forgot Objective-C was one of the early languages with "optional" static typing. A bit of a frankenlanguage but still neat.
  18. w00t, my iPhone dev provisioning profile is finally good to go. Only took 2 hours to setup :-( A curiously non-Apple experience.
  19. Fortunately no necks broken :-) http://is.gd/1NXuZ
  20. Scala and Objective-C: A Tale of Two Twisted Syntaxes (to an old C hand anyway)
