  1. A park ranger caught two young lovers we know sharing a tent. "Are you married?" "No." "Okay, I'll just list you as a mixed youth group."
  2. @EEFWW I think you should eat the little birds whenever the inspiration strikes. I doubt they'll expire in any serious way.
  3. Correspondence: T: "Fine job. You and I should consider working together. We'd make a good team." P: "Let's not rush into anything."
  4. San Antonio waitress advice, "The crouquet mohnsur is great. That's the French name, but most people just ask for the cookie monster."
  5. I'm in San Antonio. One of the world's leading Vermeer experts flew here from England to be in our art documentary and eat Texas barbecue.
  6. Rain and mud at "'Space Brains" shoot. But, onscreen it looks like a zillion bucks, the quintessential "dark and stormy night" for horror.
  7. I'm going to visit Zeke and Frank's shoot tomorrow. Neil P. Harris is starring. It's called "Dracula's Daughters Vs. The Space Brains."
  8. Zeke Zabrowski and Frank Ippolito, who made the "& Teller" films with me are shooting a new one tonight in Burbank in the rain. Go, boys!
  9. A good friend just sent me a copy of messages received via Ouija board from the dead Oscar Wilde. Not nearly as witty as when he was alive.
  10. Six of my favorite holiday billboards in Vegas were just taken down because the billboard company got complaints. http://tinyurl.com/y8eewvu
  11. @EEFWW Oh, I may be getting the hang of this. Your English teacher friend will be getting "Macbeth?"
  12. Last week's national conference of English teachers in Philadelphia featured a screening of the Posner/Teller/Folger production "Macbeth."
  13. Pumpkin pie made at home from actual pumpkin cut from the pumpkin and stewed in the kitchen is the finest food known to homo sapiens.
  14. I'm going through my holiday card list, deleting people who died last year. It feels strangely calm. Two keystrokes. I feel like Nature.
  15. Today a female nurse-practitioner urologist closed her eyes, felt my testicles, and gave me good news. It was like having my palm read.
  16. Just spent two days "directing" our Vermeer documentary. It was exhilarating and fun, making sure we had what we'd need in the editing room.
  17. Hamlet: No naked Ophelia or bloodbath. Jude Law looks fit and saws the air incessantly, but isn't funny. Tall, majestic doors. Snow.
  18. Tonight I see Jude Law in "Hamlet." I'm hoping Ophelia will be naked and it ends with a bloodbath. But I'll be content if they make me cry.
  19. "Sleep No More" has a fine amount of nudity, if you happen to wander to the right room at the right time, but not enough blood for me.
  20. In Boston today to meet with Aaron Posner about our future production of "The Tempest" and see "Sleep No More." http://tinyurl.com/navudx
