  3. Earlier in the day I saw two teenaged girls wearing homemade "Don't Stop Believing" t-shirts.
  4. The new lead singer of Journey is a total rock star. Everyone in this crowd is his biggest fan now.

  6. Our seats for the Heart/Journey concert at the fair are not only obstructed viewing; they're also next to a fragrant pen full of cattle.
  7. In line for tri-tip sandwiches at Big Bubba's Bad BBQ at the fair.
  8. *This close* to heading out the door for the drive down to Paso Robles for a long weekend with family. Mid-State Fair, here we come.
  9. In discussions with a French educational publisher that wants to buy the rights to publish one of my photos in a history textbook.
  10. It was fun to hear Neil Gaiman read, and I'm glad he signed two books for me. Waiting with a crowd, even a crowd of nerds, is a pain though.

  19. Having lunch in an Indian restaurant that used to be a Burger King, back when I lived in Berkeley. It's crowded, a good sign.
