roasted beets are the best. wrapped in foil with fresh herbs; thyme, sage, rosemary. when cooked, peel & a little balsamic. keep in fridge!

the first broad beans - simply crushed with mint, a little olive oil, grated pecorino, black pepper & lemon juice - on plain toast. scrummy!
