  1. Physics Students: I'm still offering extra credit for participation on the physics team.
  2. IB Design Tech Students: I'm offering extra credit for participation in Southside's environmental club events.
  3. Students: I will not be available for help on Friday 11-13-09. No it's not a superstition thing. I will be leaving to go to NC.
  4. Our green design posters in IB Design Tech are about to go to press.
  5. Headed home.
  6. Getting clean fresh water is becoming as difficult as securing an affordable supply of oil. So why do we allow rain water run off?
  7. Other runoff prevention items: rain barrels, trees, water permeable paving materials.
  8. The biggest source of water pollution in Greenville County is siltification caused by rain water runoff. The solution: build a rain garden.
  9. We're creating posters on green design--cool topics like rain gardens, wind power, and bio-fuels--in IB Design Tech using computer graphics.
  10. According to DOE in 2010 19% of the world's electricity will be generated by renewable sources. Wow! The times they are a-changin'.
  11. Closing down and heading home.
  12. I'm creating illustrations for my AP Physics Mechanics objectives. We're starting to study energy.
  13. Students: I've finished all the common app recommendations & letters. Check with me tomorrow if you have a nearby deadline.
  14. I'm headed for home.
  15. Writing college recommendations for students.
  16. AP Stats: The last test was skewed left. 19 People got an "A".
  17. New toy: I now have a windmill model to test in the wind tunnel.
  18. AP Physics Mechanics Students: I won't replace the Newton's Law test with the Friction test but will count it as a retest, if it helps.
  19. In 20 yrs wind could be our biggest source of electric power.
  20. In AP Stats we analyzed wind powered electric generation. Capacity is increasing exponentially, doubling every 3 yrs.
