  1. @aenclade I think that is all very true. How do we educate them and light a fire to take action?
  2. @lwcavallucci I'd like to hear more. I don't think I know what asynchronous education is. I've heard of asynchronous children & development.

  5. @lwcavallucci Unfortunately, A's team had two games scheduled for today, both cancelled. Four girls came out cheering for C's team. Fun!
  6. @lwcavallucci Did they win? Saw kids in muddy soccer uniforms everywhere I went today! C's team played a terrific game 2 move in2 1st place!

  10. Had most productive GIEP meeting this morning in a room full of people dedicated 2 children & gifted educ, & I am sure educ 4 all children!

  13. @aenclade Testing is at school district where my younger kids go. There is much less such testing at charter school my 9th grader goes to.
  14. @aenclade @MissShuganah But a later start would interfere w/sports. You'd have 2 get multiple districts 2 talk & their athletic depts!
  15. Despite the excessive testing, district seems much more serious & supportive of differentiated instruction practices.
  16. Seven yrs ago R admin insisted we do not & will not teach to "the test". Now, we not only teach to it, we test to it all yr long!
  17. @lwcavallucci @hchybinski A little improvement in the customer relations dept wouldn't hurt. Parents are consumers on behalf of their kids.
  18. Has anyone studied the real cost to a district of prepping & administering standardized test w/the cost 2 the district for not giving them?
  19. @paulbogush How can I find out if PA has a "left test blank" option. If so, promoting that is a step, but participation cld B challenge.
  20. @hchybinski @lwcavallucci Perhaps the answer lies in what their business is producing. Are high test scores the only successful outcome?
