@ Huh? I get 9hrs to fill a 1.5TB disk at USB2's 480mbits/sec. Even assuming extra overhead, that's nowhere near 2 years.

@ Um, you mean USB1. But no one sells USB1 disks anymore. USB2 is nearly as fast as FW-400.
