  1. watched Carnival of Souls which got arty toward the end. Otherwise, atmospheric and well done.
  2. watched Bloodsucking Cinema. Much, much better than I thought it would be. Carpenter in particular had some cogent things to say.
  3. watched Trick r Treat - very entertaining. A lot more humor than I expected.
  4. gave blood yesterday.
  5. Kakurenbo - character design, background - top notch. Characterization, storyline - naught.
  6. Gave up on Death Note II - just not appealing to me.
  7. watching Death Note II - the Last Name. Not quite as clever as the first one I think.
  8. finished Elizabeth Hoyt's "Serpent Prince." Absolutely wonderful, my favorite plot done perfectly.
  9. finished Charlaine Harris' Dead as a Doornail. I would like to state that I'm on Team Eric unreservedly.
  10. finished Elizabeth Hoyt's Raven Prince which I liked in spite of my reservations. It was genuinely romantic.
  11. watched "Schultze Gets the Blues." Not my kind of movie either.
  12. watched "Nights in Rodanthe." Not my kind of movie.
  13. Just finished Janet Evanovich's Full House. Fun stand alone mystery/romance.
  14. finally done with the Vandread animated series. I watched it twice -- out of order. Good series but have a twisted sense of the thru-line.
  15. watched the Castle of Cagliostro. So much fun. A must see for adventure movie fans.
  16. Watched first disc of the 1990s X-Men animated series. Still a lot of fun but the animation style suffers a bit.
  17. finished Charlaine Harris' Dead to the World. Restored my faith in the series. Was lamenting that it was so short to friends.
  18. Watching "Land of the Giants" the 1960s TV SciFi show. After the pilot, it becomes entertaining. Must see more.
  19. Showed Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog to sibs. Mixed reactions but all loved Nathan Fillion.
  20. reread Once On A Time by A. A. Milne. I like it more than the bear books. A magical ring, a bewitched prince, a wicked countess, etc.
