  1. @nithska Argh. Knockers of course. Damn auto correct.
  2. @nithska You say that, but if you get that far you'll want to hear about the knickers and "put ze candle back!" and next thing you know: 3am
  3. @nithska Just watch the "Putting on the Ritz" scene and call it a night.
  4. @nithska My goodness. it's getting to where I approach willingness to sacrifice to ancient Grecian or Egyptian gods to be a part of it.
  5. RT @nithska: M.S. Corley to do Aether Age Cover Art: http://bit.ly/6hZfEy via @addthis
  6. RT @ScottWesterfeld: RT @cmpriest Thanks to @io9 for putting BONESHAKER in their steampunk gift guide! http://tinyurl.com/ygthsv2
  7. @OMGDurham Because that would be awesome. And what would we do with 20 feet of snow? Besides have a citywide sled party, of course.
  8. @charlesatan Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, and I have certainly seen your name further and wider of late!
  9. @charlesatan Any interest in doing a (paid; little? but paid) review for (not of) Bull Spec #1? It is of a horror novel.
  10. @mightymur Do you know anyone in the Durham area who is or wants to be a horror novelist reviewer?
  11. @liarsleague I saw the list of stories for Fire & Ice next week -- looks like a great lineup! Looking forward to this month's podcasts.
  12. @loretta8 Whew. Could have gone either way; I hadn't checked to see if you were a horror writer or if this was high fantasy or something :)
  13. @loretta8 It turns out the hero is a bit twisted, and puts the villain into a Rube Goldburg-esque death machine. And stays to watch.
  14. @MikeGriffiths17 I hope you have better luck; my workshop absolutely eviscerated my story this morning. I may have even developed a limp.
  15. Listened to @clarkesworld's podcast of Kij Johnson's "Spar"; Stunning and unsettling, it reset my SF expectations: http://bit.ly/7kXc7Y
  16. @LeviMontgomery Self-publishing worked for Milton, Joyce, Twain, & Poe. Great post. I assume you use CreateSpace by the $39/title pro plan?
  17. @sfsignal Why did I not remember that you were in Houston? I was just in town for 5 days and would have loved to meet for a coffee/beer.
  18. @MikeGriffiths17 Could be that Phoenicians never made it to Carthage; could be it becomes the greatest city in the world!
  19. @MikeGriffiths17 It was founded in 814 BCE - What I meant was that a lot could have changed from 3000 BCE to ~800 BCE in the alt. timeline.
  20. @MikeGriffiths17 But would Carthage have grown large with a strong Egypt and Greece? And without Rome's gold to buy its goods?
