  1. Waiting for the 4th of July fireworks in Tucson: Unfortunate Misundestanding Day.
  2. In Red River, New Mexico
  3. Lazing around in the ballroom of La Posada (hotel) in Winslow, AZ, surrounded by art & gazing out onto the sunken garden below.
  4. Just back in to a cPanel interface to a web hosting account after being locked out for ages: don't use spaces in passphrases
  5. A response: the answer is "B".
  6. Back from having the port removed: about as minor as surgery gets, but they did give me more than local anaesthesia
  7. Looks like the latest power cut at the Lab didn't cause problems, but I'm off to have my port removed.
  8. Looks like we got through the first power cut at the Lab OK: just 15 minutes, as promised, & the servers stayed up.
  9. Celebrating a clear PET scan earlier today: it's wonderful to hear your oncologist say the words "complete remission". Next on to radiation!
  10. Sunset through clearing clouds, Scent of citrus: Spring in Tucson.
  11. Lurking at home after what might be the penultimate chemo treatment, but won't know that for sure for another 20 days or so.
  12. Off to the first of the current series of Neupogen injections after chemo yesterday: hoping to get in to work after that
  13. Back from a great concert on the Early Music Society hausmusik series, but had a Neupogen shot this morning at the time of my ZDS talk
  14. Trying to work at home after another chemo treatment: the white blood cell counts were better this time, but I'll still need growth factors
  15. Starting to use Glade for rapid user interface development: wasted hours on enabling access keys, then found it does this automagically
  16. Failing to make Skype work: had installed it on Linux as well as Ekiga, but when it was actually needed it stopped working (trying Mac OSX)
  17. Working at home after another chemo treatment this morning: looking at the Cached Externals Capistrano extension
  18. Finally getting WebDAV working on Apache2 for work. Needed multiple projects, authenticated from LDAP, & set up each in distinct Directorys
  19. Rashly converted the Capistrano configuration for the main Lab web server to use Git, typed "cap deploy" & it actually worked!
  20. Bouncing back now (day 3 post chemo seems the worst); Christina's thumb wasn't broken, but is in a splint & still needs a proper examination
