  1. @jaimeiniesta then that's definitely a mistake -- everyone was supposed to get a month -- email me at mmullany@engineyard.com: I can help
  2. @jaimeiniesta @xuanxu this is just end-of-life'ing single slices -- which we haven't sold for over a year
  3. @jaimeiniesta @xuanxu Guys - there's some mistake here, you should have got a personal email and call on this, like about two weeks ago.
  4. @jprichardson Engine Yard live chatters are there from 9am to 6pm pacific time -- but sometimes people get coffee! Try it again.
  5. @rayval Herku has "launched" 40,000 apps. Very different from the number that are actually running
  6. @wifelette wear heavier clothes and layer
  7. @elliottcable http://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=ruby+and+not+rails&start=20 (?)
  8. @lostinpatterns For sending email from EY Cloud, we recommend using AuthSMTP or SendGrid. EC2 space is too dirty
  9. @peterc it was a choice between railsconf (too small), the entire rails core team (too big - koz has 100k+ followers) dhh was just right
  10. it's not too late to join the contest -- someone's already done a wasepoint framework for you -- check the comments on the blog announcement
  11. The world is asynchronous -- get used to it: http://xkcd.com/660/
  12. @wifelette just download Duels of the Planeswalkers to the office xbox -- you'll be magicing in no time
  13. @b1g_c Happy to get someone in touch with you to talk about engine yard - we have lots of happy big database customers http://bit.ly/2H13er
  14. @shedd Pricing approach. EY Cloud unbundles & makes all the add-in costs super transparent by design. Don't need it? Don't pay for it.
  15. @donhill The old express image started to be very out of date, so we took it off the site rather than have people download out of date bits
  16. @shedd New Relic is coming for Engine Yard Cloud as a paid add-in. Goal is to keep pricing as low as possible for cloud w/no cross-subsidies
  17. @lmaa it's on our blog -- cnet posted the wrong url: www.engineyard.com/blog
  18. @danielwanja you get pretty much all the features of RDS built-into Engine Yard Cloud at the same price as a regular instance. Why RDS?
  19. @martinkl Just remember to tell them to set up your web-server for gzip -- looks like your new guys aren't doing it.
  20. @mwhuss if you're looking for any kind of extensibility or scale try http://www.engineyard.com/products/cloud
