  16. Northside needs money to build new schools. It has kept pace with growth by holding bond elections every three years.
  17. Having covered urban schools for the past four years, I am used to conversations about closing schools & the need to upgrade aging campuses.
  18. Something new this time around with the Northside bond committee: Students (hs council presidents) are among the members.
  19. It opened four new schools this year and five more are slated to open in August.
  20. Northside ISD is the fourth-largest district in Texas. In the last eight years, enrollment has increased by 25,861students.
