  1. @jonathandann -globallyUniqueString only guarantees unique for the network and doesn't specify the length or what characters will be used.
  2. @schwa Awesome.
  3. @pilky Why is the iPod touch more amazing? Thinness?
  4. Liking Wikipanion Plus better than Kiwi.
  5. @blakeseely I was wondering that, too. :-)
  6. @jsnell No case.
  7. The 3GS keeps turning off the screen when I press the Speaker button.
  8. @gruber A search didn't turn up much. My guess is "paraphrase so I don't have to cite."
  9. What does it mean to do a "write-through" of the source material?
  10. @adamengst If you measure it at 40mpg going 70mph, then yes. I thought you meant that the EPA rated yours at 40mpg going 55mph in 2001.
  11. @adamengst I read that the testing method has changed, so that you have to subtract 5-10mpg from an older car to make the numbers comparable
  12. @grynspan Not that I've seen.
  13. @grynspan OK, USB 3 then?
  14. If Apple would just add eSATA already, the BlacX could be fast, too.
  15. @wooliegeek That about sums it up. I prefer reliable. Speed is not critical since I'm usually copying to/from a notebook drive, anyway.
  16. @rentzsch None that I've found except using a BlacX instead. :-(
  17. @rentzsch I've traced freezes to the NewerTech Voyager.
  18. Not very smart of iTunes to try to sell me MobileMe when it's already syncing a MobileMe account with my phone.
  19. I'm aware that it has all sorts of design flaws, but Scripting Bridge is pretty sweet for controlling your own app.
  20. @danwood For me, at least, disk image passphrases are much longer, so being able to toggle is helpful. The frameworks make it hard, though.
