  1. Spent 4 hours debugging to realize that the official AOL OSCAR protocol spec sheet is incorrect. -.- In the end, read from libpurple source
  2. Working on an AIM client library in Erlang. Super easy thanks to Binary pattern matching. I'm in ur aimz, readin ur buddy lists.
  3. Back from Mammoth. I read "Erlang Programming" by O'Reilly. Extremely good book. Highly recommended to any Erlang programmers.
  4. At mammoth. Spent most of the day reading [a fiction book]. But the internet draws me back... O.O
  5. Just bought a 150' ethernet cable so I can work outside (under a shade so I can see my screen). So worth it.
  6. @ArmonDadgar Of all the "generally used" languages, I've found perl to be the worst in terms of readability. Yikes.
  7. Tip: If you're writing a web scraper with WWW::Mechanize in Ruby, don't forget to set max_history to zero to avoid huge memory growth
  8. Picked up a new 13" MacBook Pro (http://www.apple.com/macboo...) on Sunday. Spent the week @ work with it. Fantastic. I love it.
  9. Note to self: Symlinking directories requires the full directory path. No shortcuts like "." or ".." or "~" allowed.
  10. CSS Drive News: Adobe launches BrowserLab preview http://bit.ly/sEBTm
  11. Hm. 3 years later and I still somehow managed to code an infinite loop into my linked list code. And here I was running it for 60 minutes.
  12. Amazing. On one page Scala code is indistinguishable from Java, yet I can turn the page and suddenly feel as though I'm reading Haskell! o.O
  13. Bought my ticket home. Packing. On page 225/754 of Programming in Scala.
  14. This weekend: Reading "Programming in Scala" and cleaning/packing up for the move back to California. >_< Blah moving.
  15. Been studying for a "prefinal" for 6 hours _today_. Time for a break -.- So sunny outside!
  16. @dfischer http://notironic.com
  17. @ArmonDadgar Agreed. I can't wait until they add more data and polish out the linguistics side of things. More detailed results!
  18. Meh, figured the answer out by hand (begrudgingly). #wolframalpha failed me. The result for nerds who care: http://bit.ly/2DMb8u for n >= 1
  19. Why wont #wolframalpha solve this integral for me? http://bit.ly/1Cq84x
  20. Working on math homework. Then heading outside to the street fair!
