RT @: Nothing embodies Thanksgiving more than people dashing down the grocery aisles trying to kill you with their carts.

Sentence beginning "Those with whom I've worked often praise my ..." much funnier without word "with". :D

It's true. I'd be one raising my hand to correct at sloppy use of "decimate".

<ducks> RT @: Avoid using "decimate" as someone will pipe up about it meaning "remove 1/10th of," and those people are dicks.

Sometimes hiring plans change and positions are canceled. Other times they change and positions are opened. Don't assume anything!

@ Casual is great - just temper being overly familiar first. Wait to see how your interviewer behaves. If casual, then go 4 it.

Oops. ATS = "applicant tracking system". When you submit resumes through an online form, you're likely using an ATS. (e.g., Taleo)

Also - industry secret - some of the "ATS misbehaviour" you see isn't the ATS, but the people using it. Thankfully usually not me. ;)

Also, for the record - every person who has emailed because of ATS concern has had a perfect entry in the ATS. Misbehaviour is very rare.
