  1. @jrangelella I've heard that! About the genius part, I mean. No one has ever clued me in about editor certifiableness before!
  2. @kierstenwhite No, I won't. I haven't even sent mine off yet. I'm just trying to get an idea of what I can expect. :-)
  3. @jrangelella Liesa. :-)
  4. @MandyHubbard I think my brain is broken right now. I can't tell if you're being serious or not. :-)
  5. Has anyone ever had an editor send revision notes, read revised ms & then say you nailed it? Or are multiple rounds always required?
  6. I've decided that getting a book deal is a bit like getting engaged and deciding to have a huge wedding. All the preparation involved!
  7. I'm up to page 234 of 267 for my out-loud draft reading. Spotted only one scene so far that needs a rewrite, so that's good news.
  8. There's this one kind of cliched line--which my narrator admits is kind of cliched when he says it--that makes me cry every time I read it.
  9. @jgstewart I have "cheat" on the page 5 times. But when I change it to avoid reps, it *reads* awkwardly. *sigh*
  10. @jgstewart Thanks! I can't seem to make anything work...
  11. RT @TheTenners: Tenners Giveaway - The Mark (ARC) by @jennadol! http://community.livejournal.com/10_ers/345329.html
  12. Urban Dictionary is letting me down. Without using "cheated," what's a not-too-vulgar/non-old-fashioned way to say someone was unfaithful?
  13. @kaz_mahoney Heee! :-D I actually meant it as a verb, though.
  14. @Sarahbear9789 I'm excited! I suspect that I'll be at this for the rest of the day and maybe part of tomorrow, but then I'll be DONE!
  15. @jgstewart And I'm finding quite a few places where I can eliminate dialogue tags.
  16. @jgstewart It's helpful actually. I've spotted a few typos that have made it through two rounds of proofreaders!
  17. Urban Dictionary is letting me down. Without using "cheat," what's a not-too-vulgar/non-old-fashioned way to say someone was unfaithful?
  18. Reading manuscript aloud to myself for final polishing. Six hours in, I'm on page 121. Which means I have at least another six hours to go.
  19. @noirbettie It's currently 37 here. :-(
  20. @kirielle I'm not sure. My goal was to get it to a certain length (still a few inches to go). I'm not sure if I want to keep going or not.
