  1. Slow twitter day. I guess everyone has gone shopping? #blackfriday
  2. @chl Inlined media is quite nice... . Apart from that, my echofon Firefox plugin is just as useful... .
  3. @alisohani Ah, interesting. I didn't know that project. Thanks for the pointer.
  4. Looking at java-gnome as a drawing replacement for Swing. Problem is, gnome's moving so fast, I can't even compile on debian stable... .:(
  5. @edoules I probably should just forward all my email to Google ;)
  6. @edoules No, it's that I never find time to properly archive my emails. So now I have 8000+ emails dating back to 2007 in my inbox... .
  7. Email should just be integrated with all that twitter/facebook/IM/RSS feed reader stuff.
  8. 8500+ mails in my inbox must be a technology problem... . Can someone please come up with a new UI paradigm for dealing emails?
  9. RT: @twimpact: Up, we crossed the 100 million tweets line without me noticing... . ^MB
  10. @ChrisDiehl Haven't had time to work on the configure script for jblas to compile under Mac OS, though.
  11. @ChrisDiehl Actually, I rolled me own (in JRuby) see http://github.com/mikiobrau.... Based on Java lib using ATLAS.

  14. RT @twimpact: New server's running nicely now, in particular after we've turned off the statistics "background" processes. ^MB
  15. Does #nosql really boil down to patching something together from a key-value/graph/XML store and lucene indices???
  16. Nicole Krämer just posted our R partial least squares package http://bit.ly/3KtfpV
  17. New post on some probably lesser known benchmark data sets http://bit.ly/2mOZ8K #machinelearning
  18. On a more positive note, "Coders At Work" is really a lot of fun to read. I recommend it to anyone who's done any amount of coding!
  19. Somebody stole the rain cover of our kid's bike seat. I guess that's the same kind of person who would steal a kid's sweets. >^(
  20. After short consultation with Konrad, we decided to unsubscribe Gelman's blog. Just too high-volume. Subscribe here http://tinyurl.com/p2wvj
