@mglickman Records management is pretty fascinating stuff, all the legal and IT stuff doesn't go anywhere without it!
@NoReinsGirl I have to admit that I do work from home, but mostly through VPN connection, it's just too convenient!
@NoReinsGirl Learning about discovery makes me see how wrongly I used to do things when I worked in IT, but no one from legal corrected it!
@NoReinsGirl thanks glad you liked the notes!

Intimidation- going to the gym and having a world class athlete working out right next to you. Katie Smith in this case ;)
@jennsteele Which is exactly the place your Litigation Support people sit in every day, mixing the two! :)
Done with webinar, must eat lunch so I can videotape a meeting later.
@StevenJV I understand, I'll be typing up some notes from this webinar, probably tonight and posting to the blog
@jennsteele He didn't state an opinion, in my experience the blame goes both ways. Atty can't be bothered, IT doesn't like lawyers. :)
Hire outside counsel that is tech savvy and experienced with e-discovery. That can be hard to find!
Speaker is stongly suggesting to not outsource e-discovery retrieval, and review, many do not have expertise, sponsor sells archiving sys??
@RLawG That's a good relationship, most times corp legal don't even know who the IT people are. *L*
@StevenJV I will, and I have, though I have to be careful not to cross the "legal advice" line, since I'm not an attorney ;)
Company legal dept should have good relationship with IT Dept. They know where all the data is stored. In my experience, this is rare.
http://www.arma.org/ is a good place to find retention policy examples
According to speaker, if you don't already have a doc retention policy for electronic docs, you're already behind the curve. Delete stuff!
Full cup of coffee, door shut, must be time for an ediscovery wwbinar!
@ahockley Hope you have a good birthday, sun or not. :)
