  1. Holy crap, everyone's at the airport today: Ted Allen from Queer Eye, Markie Post from Night Court and Hearts Afire!
  2. @akuban And yes, Boingo.
  3. @akuban It's just the pigheadedness of it all. As though travelers have time for this when they just want to check email pre-flight.
  4. It was a mistake to leave gift shopping till the airport. It's now a choice between 'Going Rogue,' I LOVE NY pyjamas, and a wrap sandwich.
  5. Am listening to acid jazz covers of Radiohead and wondering why a candy company would name their mints "Vermints."
  6. "Mex and the City," that is.
  7. Ah, La Guardia. Of course there's a restaurant called "Mex in the City." Of course there is.
  8. It's not so much that I mind paying for wireless at the airport, although I do. I mind filling out forms and downloading software to do so.
  9. @knickerbockerny The former. And, oh yes.
  10. Off to Ohio, where the Humeses have been living since John T. Humes (b. 1792) moved there from WV. He lived to be 85 and had 10 kids.
  11. RT @kasekaiserina: Beef Bourguignon #foodielipsticknames
  12. @akuban Exactly how many forms of public transport have you taken in the last hour?
  13. By far the best photo ever taken of a cake shop: http://bit.ly/5oamPr
  14. @ohheygreat The difference is that Gourmet trafficked in values as well as goods. The F&W I remember is just about the goods.
  15. @jenschi And "cookie" is pronounced facon Cookie Monster, n'est-ce pas?
  16. Happy birthday, Mom. You graduated from the University of Toronto but still refer to plums as "fresh prunes." I love you.
  17. @foodinmouth I know, right?! Look what he left on my Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photo...
  18. @jenschi I find myself intrigued by the "crumble de Nigella" on the sidebar. Ca se prononce comment en francais? Krhum-belle? Kromble?
  19. RT @lydiab: Um, shouldn't it be called "How to Cook Everything Except Pretzels," @bittman?
  20. @kittenwithawhip Amusing self by imagining parallel universe in which all fowl, including Thanksgiving turkey, consumed under head cloth.
