  1. This is why climate models are so meaningless. Look at this example of dodgy code in one of them: http://tinyurl.com/dodgysci...
  2. You could tell Tim Flannery wasn't used to answering the almost-tough AGW questions that Tony Jones was at pains to ask tonight on Lateline
  3. Prof of Meteorology at MIT, Dr Richard Lindzen, talking about evidence against man-made global warming: http://tinyurl.com/DrLindze...
  4. So then it's official... "ManBearPig" was a hoax all along :-) http://tinyurl.com/NoManBea...
  5. The game is up! Climate (so-called) scientists' true biases for the whole world to read for themselves: http://tinyurl.com/ClimateFOI
  6. What a nightmare! The ETS will count extra CO2 emitted as vegetation dies during a drought (last paragraph): http://bit.ly/3kLJ5x
  7. Finally got back/forward buttons working right: xinput set-button-map "Kensington Kensington Slimblade Trackball" 1 8 3 4 5 6 7 9 2 10 11 12
  8. Glenn Beck is usually a loon but he left his invisible tin-foil hat at home for this global warming segment: http://tinyurl.com/algoreco...
  9. I can't believe that in 2009 there still isn't a decent tray plugin for Evolution and a way to return to the inbox after deleting a message!
  10. @FearTec76: Kensington won't allow rear button re-assignment in Windows, but the Linux kernel have a solution. Yay Linux is all I can say.
  11. Looks like the new Linux kernel supports the Slimblade Trackball mouse and makes the rear buttons back/forward. Upgrading to Karmic then...
  12. Good point: Costello was hounded over the prices of everything under the GST, but nobody is asking the same of the ETS: http://bit.ly/8yjkR
  13. An image of a product's thumbnail that's only 50% larger isn't really worth a "view larger image" enticement, morons - http://bit.ly/qz87c
  14. Thinking of putting tiny super glue blobs on certain keys on my new Kinesis keyboard so I can feel where they are. I do miss old layout :-(
  15. Ubuntu is perfect in every way. Speech recognition in Windows 7 isn't enough to make me leave Linux for Windows viruses and spyware.
  16. It's a pity voice recognition doesn't work with Pidgin in Windows 7 because Live Messenger is just so bloaty and ugly!
  17. Professor Ian Plimer replies to his critics: http://bit.ly/2hw0O0
  18. @FearTec76: Hmm. It wasn't that bad, I guess, but there were other issues that meant I'm not quite prepared to try Windows 7.
  19. Windows 7's voice recognition is OK (only UK English for Australians, sometimes an issue) but I can't see me giving up Linux for it.
  20. @FearTec76: I bought a copy of Windows 7 64-bit "ItsNotCheating" as well. Built-in voice recognition looks nice.
