  14. I've long thought that the whole "piracy" prevention/intellectual property protection was the likely avenue for increased "big brothering".
  15. The mandate of ISP surveillance of all internet traffic & the termination of internet service on the suspicion of 'piracy' also sucks.
  16. @chris23: exactly; what's more, it's the first one that can be applied across-the-board without pretense of probable cause
  17. Obviously logistical problems prevent widescale device auditing, but we don't need another potential excuse to search (or seize) laptops.

  20. The logical to determine whether media is 'legally' obtained would be DRM or watermarking. What about all of our existing non-DRM media?
