  1. For now, quick RT of last night's SNL ("Taylor Swift") review - http://bit.ly/3NA9CN.
  2. Heading out for some errands - plan on posting some thoughts on Mad Men S3 pre-finale (since I can't see until morning) later.
  3. @eveofdoom I've only got a DVD player, so buying Blu-Ray means I can't watch bonus features.
  4. @eveofdoom I think the bonus features are Blu-Ray only, though, which is what's holding me back in the end.
  5. Saturday Night Live "Taylor Swift" Review: Swift = charming, "Firelight" = clever, but show still = unfunny. http://bit.ly/3NA9CN #SNL
  6. A collection of impressions is weak, SNL, but Kristen Wiig's stunning Natalie Merchant impression was worth the price of admission (Free!)
  7. @tvoti My vote is Mac, although that could just be that there's one sitting directly in front of me as I type this. Subliminal, obvs.
  8. "Scared Straight w/ Movie Plots" loses points for being repetitive, but at least it had a concept that was mildly clever.
  9. I'll be honest here: has anyone at SNL ever heard Sarah McLachlan speak?
  10. Since @elgray brought her up in SNL context, anyone else hoping for Lauren Graham to host before Parenthood launches?
  11. The View's setup is actually poorly suited for live sketch comedy, since cue card reading leads to a lack of actual eye contact. #SNL
  12. Taylor Swift SNL monologue keeps things simple: self-aware, charming, keeps her in her comfort zone, ends on the Kanye joke. Success?
  13. Now to see whether the Monologue they actually wrote for Taylor Swift is better than the one we all wrote in our head.
  14. @SpeedinUptoStop Bill Hader's creepy results reader and the mouth shift at the end were great, but the rest was pretty blah.
  15. @tvfrazier # of "I'ma let you finish" jokes?
  16. Watching Milk with the rents.
  17. I enjoy you, new Swell Season record, but you're no "Once."
  18. Pondering whether to offer a "Hey, don't like that research idea? Here's another one!" into personal statement. #Flailing
  19. @weinmanj Heh, don't worry, the blood is not on your hands for this anxiety. And know that I'm honoured by the compliment.
  20. @weinmanj That's both humorously concerning (the robot) and horribly concerning (that you of all people weren't accepted). #Anxiety
