  1. Basking in glorious inactivity.
  2. Tried watching a movie on iTunes. Needed new iTunes. Which needed new Safari. Then Software Update guilted me into a gig of downloads.
  3. Discovered variable speeds of playback for podcasts on the iPhone. Maybe I won't be so frustrated with slow talkers if I'm listening at 2X.
  4. According to Dopplr, my cities are: Hong Kong, Austin, Las Vegas, Beijing, and San Francisco. Woot.
  5. My apartment is so clean right now that when I got home from Beijing on Sunday night, I thought I had been robbed.
  6. 140 characters is just not enough to express how I feel about all of the people and things in my life for which I am so very, very thankful.
  7. Furthermore, my chief complaint regarding podcasts is that frequently, specifically with stories, the people doing the readings are subpar.
  8. However, I discovered lots of content available in audio that isn't available in writing. Namely, lengthy, personal interviews with authors.
  9. To be clear, even though I now listen to podcasts, it doesn't mean I prefer it. I read very fast and would rather read over listen any day.
  10. I just discovered podcasts. Don't laugh at me.
  11. Last month, I spent 77.7 hours on the phone. Which is 3.2375 days. Can you tell that I'm in a long distance relationship?
  12. Just joined Foursquare. Bring it, Hong Kong.
  13. I like the heavy weight of Hong Kong coins. I also derive great pleasure from paying for a taxi ride entirely with change.
  14. John is eating his salsa with a fork.
  15. And just like a small town, the waitress can only speak basic English. Except here, she wears a badge that says "I speak basic English." Ha.
  16. Feels like we are in a small town knock-off of IHOP. Except the family behind us is speaking rapidly in Chinese.
  17. OMG, THESE ARE THE BEST BISCUITS AND GRAVY EVER. HANDS-DOWN. NO CONTEST. COME TO BEIJING FOR THE BISCUITS AND GRAVY. JUST ORDERED SECONDS.
  18. Sitting at Grandma's Kitchen in Beijing. We just ordered biscuits and gravy, waffles, scrambled eggs, and a breakfast taco. America FTW.
  19. As of this week, my longtime tailor in China is also Obama's tailor. Holy awesome.
  20. Drinking a soy latte and having a bowl of pumpkin soup at Timezone 8 in 798 District. With John!!
