  1. It's Monday again, and even working from home can't prevent the not coincidental tightening of my neck muscles. Not that I'm complaining.
  2. Not a fan of writing social skills evals. And suddenly realizing how twisted it is that girls over-analyze this stuff for fun in real life.
  3. Wishing companies were more sensitive to people's low threshold for irritating perkiness when they pick the music for being put on hold.
  4. You know you're an adult when someone greets you with, "You look good!"
  5. Baking cookies and drinking wine--in the spirit of tomorrow's snow day. Ahhhhh!!!
  6. Must be many good reasons for 10pm snow removal on a Wed and they can't help beeping loudly every time they back up right outside my window.
  7. Breaking the no-dairy-when-sick rule. Mmmm ice cream.
  8. Just when I was FINALLY winning a game of Scrabulous . . .
  9. Notification from family to bring Bible home for what's alternately known as Beer and the Bible (the menfolk) or Wine and the Word (mom)
  10. After today's failed effort at Crane Beach to even out white-brown-pink-purple farmer's tan, will use paint-by-number approach to sunscreen.
  11. Signed 3 yearbooks today. Nostalgic, in that sinking-stomach-feeling kind of way, with an odd twist: eyes of interested 6th graders upon me
  12. The icing on my Luna bar melted ON MY DESK today. 94 degrees on the 4th floor, per science teacher's thermometer.
  13. Argentinian leftovers, removed from dim lighting and warm-colored tile-and-leather decor, de-romanticized in my fridge as meat and potatoes.
  14. Two wedding notices in 4 days. On an unrelated note, totally craving Indian food and 'bout to break down.
  15. Optimistic today about NOT improving on my new high score of TWO run -ins with nasty-pencil-bathroom-bugs-with-50-legs. Ugh.
  16. Running outside attempt #2: the good, saw a baby turtle on the Minuteman bike path; the bad, got lost (briefly!) in my own neighborhood
  17. Self-administering Patty-Griffin-and-wine therapy for my making-myself-crazy woes.
  18. Tore the fortune-paper-thing off my teabag when I opened the packet: Happiness is every human being's right. This can't be good.
  19. Favorite Boston-flavored moments: cars making right turns from the left lane. Also businessmen w/ Sox hats, -women w/ running shoes.
  20. Buratta = Creamy buttery salty goodness. Dismayed to eat it by myself though.
