@ I love that you+others want people to show up to @ yet I don't think we need to compromise or appease to succeed in it.

@ It's a tough issue. Given the nature of @, etc., I strongly favor simplicity. Clarity is paramount. Assume good faith.

@ I see. Still think act of showing up shows intent. Onus should be on us to communicate best we can to help folk make THAT choice.

@ Of course! It changed . I still think it was a mistake—note how many participants changed their stickers mid-way thru. ;)

@ There are MANY reasons why some won't come to @. Why make rules to placate THOSE folks but not do the same for others?

@ Exactly. Doing that is an obvious and clear indication of a desire to participate. Why add extra barriers like photo "policies"?

@ Don't see a diff btw "opt" & "opt-in." If required to do that, you're minimally required to opt-in to participate. Not the same.

@ I appreciate that, which is why communication clarity is paramount. I personally think opt-in is a mistake, but did that.

@ Til I see tourists walking around w/cameras AND model releases on streets, I'm unconvinced opt-in is appropriate for @.

@ I'm not personally cool w/that. Public events like should be public. There's no opt-in on a street, so too at @.

@ I appreciate that, but respecting recording requests is more important. The multiple-sticker confusion is really a problem.
