  1. RT @SharRundio: Just saw a bald eagle at the 101 & Red Mtn 202 interchange!
  2. @prophets Good call on all your points.
  3. Before 7Brides, this #yummyfood from @LibertyMarket: http://twitpic.com/qazym
  4. Getting excited about seeing 7 Brides for 7 Brothers tonight @haletheatre with @SharRundio and our wonderful children.
  5. @davidprobinson I like the TNIV. It is my normal, everyday Bible - next to, of course, the NA27 ;-) I'd go with TNIV over NIV.
  6. This is an awesome post about Bible translation: http://betterbibles.com/200... (@davidprobinson @fat56 @EYielding )
  7. RT @knightopia: BREAKING NEWS: Oprah announces retirement, changes mind, signs with Vikings (HT: @RickCaffeinated @billpalmer)
  8. @EYielding you must have read Luke 17:35 in the ESV :-)
  9. @fat56 @davidprobinson the old "Living Bible" is a paraphrase of the ASV - the NLT is a translation from Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic
  10. @davidprobinson comparing Luke 2:36 in several versions helps show why "more literal" is not always "more better" (note ESV vs. NLT)
  11. @davidprobinson NLT is gets the mix right: closer to the text than Message, but more readable than NIV/ESV/NRSV/NASB/NA27/UBS4/LXX, etc
  12. @davidprobinson my personal opinion: NRSV is awesome - but too old fashoned, especially for #youthministry
  13. @davidprobinson and the NASB is almost as bad...
  14. @davidprobinson I would NOT go with ESV for HS students because at some point they will read Luke 17:35 -look it up in an ESV and you'll see
  15. @davidprobinson I like NLT for much public ministry use - including youth. (I also like TNIV.) I'd skip "student" versions.
  16. anybody in the phx area (East valley, preferably) have a gas powered chainsaw I can borrow?
