  1. British baseball news: 2010 National Baseball League expansion and European Championship schedule announced http://tinyurl.com/yh5mo8t
  2. RT @bsuk: Just published an article on our site announcing the expansion of the National Baseball League in 2010: http://bit.ly/72u9lU
  3. Just finished writing up a review of the baseball coverage available on British TV in 2009. Will publish tomorrow morning.
  4. Should add that the Crisp move is a good idea in the sense that it's probably going to lead to other moves.
  5. Just read the news that the A's are close to signing Coco Crisp. Looks a good idea to me.
  6. My review of this week's MLB trades/signings is now online: http://tinyurl.com/yl6sz9v
  7. RT @bsuk: Latest on our site about BSUK's baseball and softball facilities development project: http://bit.ly/7GKf1y
  8. Very useful guide to the prospects involved in the Halladay-Lee extravaganza: http://tinyurl.com/ybr7rfq
  9. Looks like the sale of the Texas Rangers is moving forward. Could be relevant to Liverpool FC fans http://tinyurl.com/yanhxt2
  10. Red Sox to unveil Mike Cameron (16.30 GMT) and John Lackey (18.30) today. No doubt MLB.com will provide live coverage.
  11. Billy Beane may have badgered his way into the 3/4-way trade. Don't know enough about Michael Taylor to say whether it's good news or not
  12. Just looked on Google and saw their recently added 'real time' updates (tweets on 3-way trade) in real action for the first time.
  13. @chickenroyal Reports say Blue Jays get Phil Aumont (M's, originally from Quebec) and Dominic Brown (Phils).
  14. NYY will open the 2010 MLB season with game vs Red Sox on 4 April (1a.m. on 5th for us). Any chance it's on free-to-air TV? Sadly doubt it.
  15. @chickenroyal Yeah, can't blame him. Will be interesting to see what the Blue Jays get in return (if it all goes through!)
  16. @Nick_DK That makes some sense. Key is how cost of Doc's contract, plus the exclusive chance to sign him, compares to Lee's eventual deal
  17. Phillies must prefer the potential contract extension Doc wants to the one Lee is after. Doc costs $6.75m more in '10
  18. Need some more details on the 3-way potential trade to make sense of it. Felix and Lee would make a half-decent 1-2 for the M's.
  19. So, looks like a few pitchers might be about to find new homes. Lackey to Red Sox, Halladay to Phillies, Lee to Mariners? Interesting stuff
  20. Finished up writing my review of the NL West while listening to the Raiders-Red Skins game on 5Live Sports Extra.
