  3. Attended the excellent RNLI Christmas Carol Concert this evening and was thoroughly impressed by the choir: The Pilgrimaires.
  4. L has finally finished all the teaching on her placement, which means I get to spend time with her in the evenings again :D
  5. @SparksyOnRadio In the words of General Melchett: "What on Earth's got into you today Darling?!" Blackadder was ahead of its time :-)

  7. 'ere @SparksyOnRadio If the key to fixing the budget is to raise more money through taxing workers, isn't it a backwards step to raise...1/2
  8. 'ere @SparksyOnRadio has anyone said fluffy dice hanging from the mirror? They've been banned by Elf n' safety as they distract drivers. TYD
  9. 'ere @SparksyOnRadio, 51 days of rain you say? I guess that's payback for that month of no rain we had in September. Better get the Ark out!
  10. @buzv Hope you feel better soon my dear :-(
  11. Some how we managed to wake up 40 minutes late today but still got in the usual 3 rounds of breakfast and am now running on time again. Odd.
  12. Hungry this evening! Will need to eat something before heading off to Tesco otherwise I'll buy half the shop. Love food, hate poverty ;-)
  13. The Christmas tree is bought, up and lit (but not decorated), the ceiling decorations are up and the Beef Wellington is cooking. Go me!
  14. Today we step up the Christmas festivities. Later I'll be getting the Christmas tree (Norway Spruce I hope) and putting up the decorations!
  15. Relaxing in Starbucks after literally shopping til we dropped. Didn't buy much though. Have scrapped plans for dinner in Exeter so home time
  16. So far Devon, Second City has made a good impressio. Nice range of shops and pleasing architecture. Time for a pasty!
  17. L and I are taking the train to Exeter today to do Christmas shopping. This is exciting as I've never been to Exeter before and it's Festive
  18. Have just finished watching The Eagle Has Landed. Such an excellent film! Time to wake L up and head off to bed.
  19. @buzv yea we don't put people on hold when they ring up, they just bounce from phone to phone til someone answers. Muting is mid call.
  20. @ishortman You'd be surprised at the number of people who think that mute means we can't hear them and start having all sorts of chats.
