  1. @zzzeek forum stuff still on the PHP code side of things -- but we'll be phasing that out over in favor of an existing open source forum.
  2. @sdouche We're definitely trying to improve our backwards compatibility with easy_install and friends. Give me details: I'll look at it.
  3. Why test TG on windows? RT @voidspace: Over 1,800,000 downloads of the Python Windows installer from Python.org in March 2009.
  4. @jamiebullock We have user authentication/authorization and other tools built on top of the TG2 stack. Pylons is explicitly not doing that.
  5. @pepperbox Yea, WSGIProfile looks very nice. Good to meet a bunch of fellow TurboGears devs here at #europython.
  6. @dangoor New sourceforge.net page testing went quite well today, the new stuff will be back soon!
  7. @dangoor we have lots of room for performance tweaking still. No caching, no js minification, etc. We will not rest until sf.net is FAST!
  8. http://bit.ly/KVarj , the sf.net project and download pages be TG2. Relaunch scheduled for tomorrow.
  9. @timpo Not a total relaunch, and not officially 'till tomorrow. But the sourceforge.net download pages are drastically changed.
  10. what do you all think of the new download pages and download process on sourceforge.net
  11. @doughellmann sourceforge.net has download pages with under-the-hood python goodness to go with the new design.
  12. @dangoor Actually we did order the Tripe, along with the beef lung
  13. at Red N Hot in Birmingham, ordering lung, menu says Husband and Wife pig lung, but it's actually beef. Waiter says it's a misprint.
  14. hehe
  15. Check out the new sourceforge.net page (for the next few min at least) don't worry if you miss it, it will be back soon!
  16. learned from the SnakeBiteGuys. First of 5 signs you have a ghetto server room -- it has a drain
  17. http://www.snakebite.org/ is awesome.
  18. @alex_gaynor Working on the PyOhio theme song already, thinking that I should stick with meatloaf -- it seems appropriate for the midwest.
  19. @voidspace The good news is that amplification is sometimes exactly what you want, the bad news is that it's not. always what you want ;)
  20. We'll be doing some TG2 sprinting this weekend at EuroPython. Join the fun on #turbogears or in Birmingham UK. ;)
