  1. RT @keyist: stoked with the service untiny.com provides. b1tly et al -- you can know which sites I've been to over my dead greasemonkey
  2. (via jwz) NYPD still uses typewriters, and is about to fork out $1m for more! http://bit.ly/15jy6R "#steampunk"?
  3. Nifty #emacs workflow: narrow-to-region -> base64-decode-region -> image-mode
  4. Apropos of that last post though it's worth (re-)reading this & keeping it in mind: http://bit.ly/EsbKY
  5. Random love - online services I love: @github, @dropbox, @evernote, @openstreetmap, gmail, reader.
  6. Of all the #emacs paren-closing options not called paredit, http://bit.ly/1sEowr (Better Pairing) seems to work the best.
  7. @bananalegend: haha, I noticed that too :) Is @shermanrlai hiding something? What does twitter know that we don't?
  8. @twoscomplement That's the one :) (are there others??) It's quite good.
  9. Taking a break from reading papers about type theory... by watching a documentary about a font.
  10. Want to toggle firefox bookmarks bar. Keyconfig http://bit.ly/CBuop doesn't install on 3.5 so http://bit.ly/IXUid is out; any other ideas?
  11. #emacs users who have to deal with -- ugh -- SOAP; Luke Gorrie's http-twiddle to the rescue: http://bit.ly/qBbG3
  12. @Dubito Maybe the mince doesn't follow the expected flight-path? (that would /not/ be at their heads, for a start :)) http://bit.ly/6pcYx
  13. #emacs people: what's the standard way of specifying keybindings these days (emacs23)? String/vector/kbd macro?
  14. For the curious (& most followers seem to be #emacs people), I have my config on github now: http://bit.ly/zc0oE V. crufty; tips welcome.
  15. While on the topic of commenting using #emacs, more people should know about M-; (comment-dwim). (One for @learnemacs maybe?)
  16. #emacs: M-j begins a new line (indenting properly), but if you're in a comment it begins a new comment as well. Useful for formatting.
  17. Bored with viper mode for #emacs? There's also ed: http://bit.ly/NRLWh Too funny. ("might be only implementation with syntax highlighting")
  18. Awesome update message: "Escape spaces in Erlang magic to avoid misidentifications, particularly PostScript files produced on Tuesdays"
  19. Hackability really makes me want a Pre: http://bit.ly/mM1om
  20. Brilliant: http://www.mattbors.com/arc... (Iran cartoon)
