  1. Ok, this time I'm serious abt staying off Twitter. Now leaving the world of real war & escaping into fictional war aka BATTLESTAR GALACTICA.
  2. Thoughtful. RT @harrislacewell Here is a link to my latest piece on @TheNation "Psalm 137" http://bit.ly/7aGEAp
  3. Okay, tuning into #livingwithHIV & calling it a night. Be sure to look for @DavidCornDC's #Afghanistan analysis in the am.
  4. Yup. When I suggested you tune in to @ChrisMacDen's story, I meant it. Amazing, moving storytelling CAN happen on Twitter, sans sassy quips.
  5. Agreed, @RayBeckerman. It always amazes me how convinced ppl are that they know what will work. I don't.
  6. Not to change subj, but @ChrisMacDen is tweeting his story of #livingwithHIV now. Prob more worthwhile than CNN's talking heads, ya think?
  7. RT @glcarlstrom Am I the only one struggling to find a lede from this speech? Other than "Obama tries to please everyone, fails"? #afgspeech
  8. The whole campaign, O was shifting focus from Iraq to #Afghanistan. So disagree, but don't act betrayed.
  9. &by tactical, I'm not saying it's sure to work. Personally, I don't know what will work. But no one likes a surge, that's for sure.
  10. I agree w/ @profblmkelley. No easy right/wrong. It's not an ideological decision here, it's tactical. & it's NOT EVEN A SURPRISE.
  11. True. No bait/switch. RT @profblmkelley But the fight in Afganistan was really pronounced during campaign. He said it. Frequently.
  12. Context: Going into this speech, Obama has only 35% approval amg Americans re: handling of Afghanistan. http://bit.ly/593d9u #afgspeech
  13. Chuckling at all your hashtag suggestions. Will probably go w/ #afgspeech & see what emerges.
  14. @scottkleinberg That sucks. Happy birthday tho! PS you know if it was me, I'd have totally let you take 2 cents from the tip jar. ;)
  15. @kzaleski No way! I didn't see your attempt to initiate a conversation. I would've been all over that! http://bit.ly/4MPek5
  16. @whet I have a love/hate relationship w/ Gawker comments. These, I am glad to say, fall in the love category.
  17. .@cophotog That, & Aol fails to recognize that editors do way more than shuffle content. Plus I don't trust traffic to determine news value.
  18. I'm skeptical. RT @cophotog Are algorithms better than human editors? Aol thinks so. http://bit.ly/79CBiY
  19. Hmm... RT @Mediabistro Gawker snags AOL's editorial guidelines for its writers. http://bit.ly/4Mxcie (via @ckrewson)
  20. @soupersong How do I do what? Also, I only started in Sept.
